Update: Optimizer 0.4.5

Optimizer has come a long way with your love and cooperation. We like to think, we have eased the way our users build websites by improving the Optimizer with each update. We are very excited to announce some new features and various bug fixes in the latest version of Optimizer.

Before introducing the new features lets address the some breaking issues that were caused by api changes of Google and Instagram in past month.

Broken Google Map & How to fix them

Google recently changed their Map usage policy and requires everyone to acquire a Free API key to make your map work. So if you are reading this, after updating the theme you should get your Google api key and add it to Appearance > Customize > Miscellaneous > Google Map Api Key field.

How to fix Broken Instagram Widget

Few months ago, Instagram changed their API policy and now requires you get the secret key and user id key manually. If your Instagram widget is not working you need to add your Instagram widget again and get your secret key and user id following this instruction.

New Features

Dynamic Content Widget

In this version we have added a new widget called “Dynamic Content” that lets you display carousel slider, Tabs and Toggles. You could usually add them with shortcode but in this version you can use this widget to directly add this type of content without any shortcodes. Here is how they look:

Links Fields added to Blocks Widget

This feature is probably the most sought after. Now you can add link to each of the image on your blocks content.

Woocommerce Cart menu Dropdown

Social Links positions

In this version we added options to display the social bookmark links to Both Header and Footer or Both Topbar and Footer.

Bug Fixes

We have also fixed lots of bugs in this version. You can check out the changelog of this version.

How to Update

Go to Appearance -> Themes to update the theme to the latest version. Make sure you have your license key inserted from Appearance > Optimizer License; otherwise you won’t be able to update the theme. Please make sure you backup your theme and widget options before updating the theme.
