We are excited to let you know that Optimizer 0.3.5 is out. In this release, we added some new features and refined lots of features. Here are some of the key features of this new update:

1. Improved capability of Slider & Buttons

  • Some of our users complained that the slider image looked zoomed. We investigated and fixed the issue in this new release.
  • On iOS video background won’t autoplay because iOS doesn’t allow autoplaying of videos. To fix this, now you have to use a static image on mobile devices as a fallback. To do that simply  go to Appearance -> Customize -> Frontpage -. Slider -> Static Slide Settings -> Image and add the image you want to display on mobile devices instead of the video background . So the gist is, to set video background to your slider, you will also have to add a image to the slider to display it on mobile devices instead of the video.
  • We added more variation of buttons for frontpage slider, Call to Action widgets and buttons shortcode. Now you have more options when it comes to choosing a perfect button.

2. Top bar Menu now supports sub menu

Based on popular demand top bar menu items now supports sub-menu features for better navigation and ease of use.

3. Social Media Features

Social bookmark widget now has more styles. Besides that, we have added Vimeo as Social Links along with previous social media profiles.

 4. Linking Widgets to Slider Button

Our previous releases had  smooth scrolling support for widgets which were linked with menu items but not with Slider buttons. In this release, we added this features. Check out the documentation for detailed implementation procedure.

5. Hiding Elements

  • Hide Menus: You can hide any menus header, footer or top bar menu more easily. Accessible from Appearance -> Customize -> Header -> Menu -> Hide Header Menu
  • Hide Site Title: Hide the site title or logo from Appearance -> Customize -> Header -> Site Title & logo -> Hide Site Title
  • Hide Site Tagline : Hide site description from Appearance -> Customize -> Header -> Site Title & logo -> Hide Site Tagline

Besides these features, we have added minor features and fixed certain bug which will make your life easier. Check out the change log for a detailed overview.
